Bacterial vaginosis is the most common type of vaginal infection, followed by yeast infections as the second leading type. Given the prevalence of these conditions, many women often confuse the symptoms of bacterial vaginosis and a yeast infection. It is important to distinguish between the two, as they have different causes and require different treatments.
